TEST — Why the formation of priests needs benefactors
TEST article for the International edition: how benefactors make the formation of priests possible in dioceses that cannot afford it.

Why benefactors matter
Every year hundreds of young men in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe hear the call to the priesthood. Many of their dioceses cannot afford the cost of six to eight years of formation: books, housing, food, travel to the seminary. Priesterausbildungshilfe e.V. has been bridging that gap since 1991.
Give vocations a future
Priesterausbildungshilfe supports the formation of priests – especially where resources are scarce. Every donation goes directly to their formation.
What a donation does
A monthly gift covers the living costs of one seminarian; a one-off donation pays for his textbooks for a year. Donors receive a donation receipt and, if they wish, a short report from the seminary they support.
